My Posts...

I was just notified that some of my blogs are difficult to read because of the colours. Sorry to anyone who had to strain their eyes because of my lack of judgement. I didn't even realize that it was a challenge to read some of them. For the most part, in the later part of my blogs, I changed the colours to darker ones so that they are easier to read. Hope it is better! I wish I would have realized earlier. Sorry once again, and let me know if there is anything that is hard to read that I haven't changed. Thanks!

  1. Well, I'm old so maybe it was just my eyes that were having trouble. But it is amazing how often we make these kinds of mistakes as educators. I developed a really elaborate website for the schools one time, and got a lot of positive feedback and was feeling like the king of Web teachers when a student left a comment pointing out that for color blind students, my choice of colors made the site completely unreadable. Well duh! What was I thinking? But color blindness never even occurred to me. I fixed the site and apologized to the student, but he just said that it happened all the time and made him feel like a discriminated minority. There are so many things for teachers to think about, but for the students on the receiving end, it really matters.
